River Oder

The Oder River is found in central Europe and starts of at its source at Oderské vrchy in Silesiai, the Czech Republic before travelling through the west of Poland and forming the boundary between Poland and Germany.

At the end of its journey the River Oder flows into the Szczecin Lagoon before emptying in Baltic Sea.

The Oder River is eight hundred and fifty four kilometres long with one hundred and twelve kilometres being in the Czech Republic and the remaining seven hundred and forty two kilometres in Poland.

The majority of the river is navigable by boat, only the early part at its source is not navigable. Close to the rivers mouth where it flows into the Szczecin Lagoon and passes the city of Szczecin where there is a major maritime port on the river.
