Vistula River

The Vistula River starts of its life in the moutain of Barania Góra which is found in the Silesian Beskids moutain range. The Vistula then travels for one thousand and forty seven kilometres where it empties into the Vistula Lagoon before going into the Baltic sea.

The Vistula river passes through many of Polands famous cities that were forged on the rivers banks in ancient times. These cities include Kraków, Sandomierz, Warszaw, Płock, Włocławek, Toruń, Bydgoszcz, Świecie, Grudziądz, Tczew and Gdańsk.

The basin of the Vistula river covers a huge one hundred and ninety four thousand, four hundred and twenty four square kilometres which covers regions in Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and Slovakia.
